MAX statistics: the whole messenger in numbers on one page
MAX statistics on datool.ru shows the whole messenger on one page: channels, subscribers, posts and views, 66 categories, activity by size, hourly rhythm, ads, and the quality and citation indexes.
The MAX statistics page on datool.ru shows the whole messenger in numbers: how many public channels and subscribers MAX has, how many posts and views there are, which categories are the largest, how often channels of different sizes post, when MAX publishes, how much advertising there is, and how the quality and citation indexes are distributed. Everything is on one long page laid out as a dashboard, with "i" hints on every card and different kinds of charts.
The page is for people who want to understand the MAX market as a whole rather than one channel at a time: channel owners can compare themselves with the average, advertisers can choose a topic, journalists and analysts can take fresh figures. The numbers are calculated in the background every hour, and the page is open without signing up.

MAX in numbers
At the top there are five tiles with smooth daily charts for the last 14 days: channels, subscribers, collected posts, views and reactions.
According to datool.ru, as of 26 October 2026:
- Channels — 607,380 active public MAX channels; our collection found another 21,554 during the week.
- Subscribers — 395.6 million in total across public channels, plus 6.5 million over the week. This is a total of subscriptions, not people: one person is usually subscribed to several channels.
- Posts collected — 132.7 million, including 5.1 million this week.
- Views — 547.8 billion on the collected posts.
- Reactions — 5.3 billion.
Below the tiles there is the purple "MAX channel analytics" banner with links to the site's sections and a channel search.
Categories
Right below the banner comes the "All categories" table. For each of the 66 topics it shows how many channels there are, how many subscribers they have, what share posted during the week, how many posts and views there were, average views per post, reactions per 1,000 views and the ad share. Each column has its own coloured bar, and you can sort the table by any column.
Next to it are two blocks: "Most ads" lists the categories with the largest share of ad posts during the week, and "Largest categories" shows twelve topics by the measure you choose — channels, subscribers, posts or views for the week. As of 26 October 2026, the category with the most channels is Образование и обучение (Education and training) with 90,317, a quarter of all categorised channels, while Новости и СМИ (News and media) has the most subscribers — 41.6 million. 363,348 channels have a category so far, and tagging continues. All topics with their own pages are in the Categories section.
Activity: how often channels post
The "Posts by day" block shows 28 full days as bars; buttons let you switch between posts, views, reactions, the number of channels that posted, or ad posts. The record is labelled.
The "How often channels post" block splits channels by their latest post: posted in the last day, within the week, within 30 days, or silent for more than a month. The rows are all channels and each size band. The picture clearly shows the gap between small and large channels: 63% of all channels posted in the last 30 days, 52% of channels with fewer than 100 subscribers, 89% of those with 100 to 1,000, 95% of those with 1,000 to 10,000, and all 100% of channels with more than a million subscribers.

Rhythm: when MAX publishes
Four cards are about timing:
- When MAX posts — a "day of week × hour" heat map based on the week's posts.
- Weekdays and weekends — how many posts are published per hour on average on weekdays and at weekends.
- Best time to post — average post views by publishing hour.
- When ads go out — the ad share by hour of day.
All hours are in Moscow time. A "week" on this page means the seven days that ended the day before yesterday: posts from those days have almost reached their final views, so the averages are not pulled down by fresh posts.
Engagement, leaders and indexes
- Reaction mood and post formats. Which emoji people use most, what share of posts are reposts, video, photos, links and text, and how many views each format gets.
- Leaders. "Most new subscribers" and "Fastest in percent" for the week, plus the top ten by citation index.
- Text length, reactions per 1,000 views, ads and regular posts. Across MAX there were 20 reactions per thousand views during the week. People react to ad posts 3.1 times less often than to regular ones.
- Quality index. How many channels fall into each range from 0 to 100, plus the median — 67 points across 63,050 channels with an index. How the quality index is calculated.
- Citation index. 68,164 channels have an index, and for 85% of them it is below 1: truly cited channels are few. How the citation index is calculated.
- New channels by month. Active channels by the month of their earliest collected post. The peak is December 2025 with 78,634 new channels.

What you can see without signing in
Almost the whole page is open to guests. In "All categories", "Largest categories", "Most ads", "Most new subscribers", "Fastest in percent" and "Citation index", guests see the first three rows. The other places open after free sign-up; until then they are replaced by blurred rows with made-up data and an "Other places — after sign-in" label.
Tip
Compare your channel with the market. Engagement ER on the channel dashboard multiplied by 10 equals reactions per 1,000 views: compare it with the row for your size band in "Reactions per 1,000 views", and compare your posting frequency with "How often channels post".

Frequently asked questions
How often is MAX statistics updated?
Every hour. The calculation time is shown at the bottom of the page. Reactions, formats and text length are calculated once a day from a one-hour sample of posts.
Why are there more subscribers than people in MAX?
The "Subscribers" tile is the total of subscribers across all public channels. One person is usually subscribed to several channels and is counted in each of them.
Which channels are included in the statistics?
Active public MAX channels. Private channels and group chats are not included. We do not collect chat messages, private conversations or comments.
Why do some channels have no category?
Categories are set by tagging rules, moderators and the owners of verified channels. Tagging is still in progress, so the category table only includes channels whose topic has already been determined.
