API section on docs.datool.ru : handbook of methods with examples

API section on docs.datool.ru : 11 articles about enabling and a reference list of 16 API methods.MAX — the price of each request, parameters, response fields, errors, examples in Python and curl, the OpenAPI schema, and requests in Swagger.

Cover: a dark window with a list of API methods.MAX — GET, POST, PATCH, DELETE bars and an example of a JSON response, labeled "API Reference.MAX" on an orange background

FROM the API.MAX a full section appeared on docs.datool.ru/api /: 11 articles on how to connect and work with the API, and a guide to all 16 methods. Each method has a description, the price in requests, tariff restrictions, parameters, response fields, errors, and ready—made examples in Python and curl with the server response. You can now connect MAX channel data to your service without asking a single support question.

The .MAX API returns the same data that you see on the site: catalog and MAX channel cards, daily statistics and posts. Good documentation for the API is half of the product: the developer should understand in a few minutes which method to call, what to pass and what will come in response. That's how we built the section.

How the section works

The section consists of two parts. The first is "The Beginning", articles about the rules common to all methods:

  • Quick start — key, first request and channel statistics in five minutes.
  • Keys and authorization — how to transfer the key, who it belongs to and when it stops working.
  • Limits and expenses — how much the request costs, 30-day limit from payment, speed, packages.
  • Pagination — list pages: cursor, limit and ready link next.
  • Filtering and sorting — all filters of the catalog, posts, statistics and directories.
  • The data formats are time, dates, numbers, null, money and compatibility.
  • Errors — response codes, machine codes and what to do in each case.
  • Webhooks — new channel posts directly to your server, with signature verification and an example of the receiver.
  • MCP for AI assistants — MAX data in Claude, Cursor and other assistants with the same key.
  • MAX methods — a short map of all methods.
  • API changes — what changed and when.

The second part is a reference of methods. The methods are divided into six groups: "Account", "MAX: directories", "MAX: channels", "MAX: statistics", "MAX: posts" and "MAX: webhooks".

Method page: All on one screen

Each group of methods is one page, and each method on it is a row of two columns:

  • On the left is a description. The HTTP method bar (GET — green, POST — blue, PATCH — gold, DELETE — red), address, price in units, and tariff restrictions, if any. For example, statistics by day indicate: "API.The MAX test is only the last 30 days."
  • Tables. Parameters (whether it is required, the type where it is passed), response fields with types (fields that are empty, signed "or null"), and method errors with machine code and an explanation when they occur.
  • On the right are examples. A dark column with a request for Python and curl and an example response. The examples are in front of their method, on the phone — under its description. Code blocks have a "Copy" button.

The examples are not conditional "1234" and ellipsis, but plausible values: the same fictional channel "City News" (@citynews), its posts, statistics and webhook are consistent with each other in all methods. The copied example runs after replacing the key with your own.

OpenAPI schema and "Try Requests"

There are two buttons on the reference page:

  • "Download OpenAPI schema" — description of all methods in standard format. From the schema, you can generate a client in any language or import methods into Postman and Insomnia.
  • "Try requests in Swagger" is a page where you can insert your key and execute any method directly in the browser without writing a single line of code. It is decorated in the colors of the site and leads back to the directory.

The directory is compiled from the same code that serves the requests themselves. Therefore, the method description, its parameters, and response fields do not differ from how the API actually works.

Search and change log

The documentation search (the "/" key) also searches for API methods — by name and address — and leads directly to the desired method on the group page. And the article "API Changes" is a log by date: which fields and filters have appeared, what has been fixed. New fields and methods are added to version v1 without changing the number, so the rule is simple: the client should not break from an unfamiliar field in the response.

If you open the address in the browser api.datool.ru , it will also lead to the API section of the documentation.

Rates and how to try it for free

Prices and limits — on the page max.datool.ru/api /. Each request costs 1 unit, no matter how many lines it returns: a page of 100 posts or statistics on 100 channels is also 1. Directories, /v1/me/ and webhook management are free.

  • API.MAX Test — 0 ₽. 1,000 requests in 30 days, channel cards and statistics for the last 30 days.
  • API.MAX Start — 2,990 rubles per month. 100,000 requests, cards, all statistics and posts.
  • API.MAX Growth — 9,990 rubles per month. 300,000 requests and webhooks about new posts.
  • API.MAX Pro — 29,990 rubles per month. 1.5 million requests, 20 keys and the right to show data to your customers.

The Business subscription includes 10,000 requests per month. The month limit is 30 days from the date of payment.

How to get started

  1. Register on hi.datool.ru and open the "API keys".
  2. Create a key — it is free on the Test tariff.
  3. Open the "Quick Start" and run the first /v1/me/ request — it costs nothing.
  4. Find the required method in the reference and copy the example.

Frequent questions

Do I need to log in to the site to read the API documentation?

No, it's not. The API section, method reference, and OpenAPI schema are open to everyone. The key is needed only for the requests themselves.

Is it possible to try the API without programming?

Yeah. On the "Try requests in Swagger" page, insert the key and execute the method in the browser. Another way is to connect the MCP server to the AI assistant and ask questions in the usual language.

Where can I find out what has changed in the API?

The article "API Changes" contains a log by date. It also shows which fields and filters have appeared recently.

Is there a section in English?

Yes, the entire section and the method reference have been translated: docs.datool.ru/en/api /.

The API section is open: docs.datool.ru/api /. Start with a "Quick start" — the first request takes a couple of minutes.
