MAX channel subscriber growth: growth and outflow by day

MAX channel subscriber growth: how to read the increase and decrease by day, subscriptions and unsubscriptions, retention and records on the "Audience Analysis" tab, how to distinguish advertising from cheating and how many channels grow per week.

The "Audience growth" block: +268 subscribers for the period, the subscriber line and the daily growth columns marked "+208 is the largest increase" and "-49 is the largest decrease"

The MAX increase in channel subscribers per day is the difference between the number of subscribers at the end of the day and at the end of the previous day. If the difference is positive, the channel has grown, if negative, it has lost subscribers. On datool.ru the increase and decrease by day are visible in the "Audience growth" block on the dashboard of the channel page, and a detailed analysis is on the "Audience Analysis" tab: subscriptions and unsubscriptions, growth honesty, records, retention of new subscribers.

The overall picture of the market: according to datool.ru In the week from October 18 to October 25, 2026, out of 518,243 MAX channels for which there is data for both dates, 151,154 (29%) increased, 40,353 (8%) decreased, and 326,736 (63%) had fewer subscribers less than 1%. Growing channels together added 7.74 million subscribers, shrinking channels lost 1.39 million.

Below is how to read the growth of subscribers of your channel, how the net increase differs from subscriptions and unsubscriptions, and how to distinguish advertising from cheating according to the schedule.

Growth, outflow and bottom line: what does each number mean

Several similar concepts are used on the channel pages. They are easy to confuse, so first — definitions.

  • Daily growth (net change) — subscribers at the end of the day minus subscribers at the end of the previous day. This is not the number of people: if 100 came and 80 left, the increase is +20.
  • The total for the period is subscribers at the end of the period minus subscribers at the beginning of it.
  • Subscribed and Unsubscribed — how many people actually came and left. MAX reports these numbers only to the channel administrator bot, so the channels where the bot has them have them datool.ru — administrator, and are counted from his first pass through the list of subscribers.
  • It took away from the visitors — how many people unsubscribed for every 100 subscribers: unsubscribed - subscribed × 100. The less, the better; from 60 growth is based on the constant attraction of new people.
  • Outflow in 30 days — how much went in 30 days as a percentage of the number of subscribers at the beginning.

Number of subscribers by day datool.ru collects from September 30, 2026, at the channels found later — from the day of discovery. If the selected period starts earlier, the schedule starts from the first day with the data, and instead of "for the period" it is "from September 30".

How MAX channels grew in a week

The week of October 18-25, 2026 according to datool.ru:

  • Increased — 151,154 channels (29%). Together, 7,742,652 subscribers were added, with an average of about 51 per channel.
  • Almost unchanged — 326,736 channels (63%). The number of subscribers has shifted by less than 1%.
  • Reduced — 40,353 channels (8%). Together, they lost 1,390,655 subscribers, an average of about 34 per channel.

In total, MAX channels added about 6.5 million subscribers, and losses amounted to about 18% of the increase. Ozon Bank grew the most during the week — by 34,138 subscribers (from 365,414 to 399,552, +9.3%) and Mathematician Andrey — by 28,366 (+5.5%). AI BARBOSKINY is in the lead as a percentage: from 5,340 to 29,073 subscribers, an increase of 5.4 times. The latest leaderboards are in the growth rating and on the pages "Today in MAX" and "MAX Statistics".

The "Audience Growth" block on the dashboard

The first place where you can see the growth of the channel is the "Audience Growth" block on the dashboard. In it:

  • large — total for the period: "+N subscribers for the period";
  • at the top is a line of subscribers at the end of each point of the period;
  • from the bottom there is an increase for each point: green bars up if there are more subscribers, red bars down if there are fewer;
  • above the growth chart is the largest increase and the largest decrease with a date; the same numbers are signed at the bars.

For 7 and 30 days, the point is a day, for 90 days it is a week, for a year and for all time it is a month. The block is open to everyone, including guests without registration, for a period of 7 days. An important caveat: the net increase is shown here — how many subscribed and unsubscribed separately, you can't find out by the number of subscribers.

Tab "Audience analysis": main numbers

There are eight tiles on the "Audience Analysis" tab: Subscribers, The total for the period, Subscribed, Unsubscribed, Left from visitors, Live share (ERR), Logged in to MAX per day and a place in the category. Under each there is a mini-graph and a comparison with the previous same period.

Subscribers, total for the period, live share and place in the category are open to everyone. The tiles "Subscribed", "Unsubscribed", "Left from visitors" and "Logged in to MAX per day" open after free registration, but only the channels where the bot has numbers in them datool.ru — the administrator. For other channels, instead of a number, there is a blurry example with a suggestion to confirm the channel.

Subscriber growth

The "Subscriber growth" block is a line of subscribers at the end of each day and a string of numbers: subscribers now, total for the period and percentage growth, average per day, best and worst day. The largest increase and the largest decrease are marked on the graph with a circle and a number. The dotted line shows where the channel would have been if it had grown the same way as in the previous same period: it is immediately visible whether the growth has accelerated or slowed down. The block is open to everyone.

Subscriptions and unsubscribes by day

Green bars up — how many subscribed, red down — how many unsubscribed, line — the result of the day. For a channel without a bot administrator, the schedule is based on a net change: "subscribers have increased" and "subscribers have decreased". The block is opened after registration.

Channel records

Records are counted for the entire time of observation, and not for the selected period: the best day and the worst day, the best week (7 days in a row), the best full calendar month and the longest series of growth — days in a row, in each of which subscribers became more (from 3 days). The best day has a list of which channels mentioned the channel on that day or the day before. The block is opened after registration.

Retention, length of service and activity of subscribers

Four more blocks are built according to the list of subscribers and there are channels where the bot datool.ru — administrator:

  • Retention of new subscribers — what proportion of visitors remains after a week and a month, how long the departed stayed on average, how many returned after unsubscribing.
  • The length of service of subscribers — when the current subscribers came, how many of them have been with the channel for more than a year.
  • Live and sleeping subscribers — when current subscribers last logged into MAX: in a week, from a week to a month or longer. This is an input to MAX in general, and not reading this particular channel.
  • Subscriptions, unsubscriptions and what happened on these days — the days of waves of arrival and which channels mentioned the channel on these days.

Retention and "what happened these days" are open to the channel owner and by subscription, length of service and activity — after registration. Subscriber Names datool.ru does not show or store — only numbers. For very large channels, more than 100 thousand subscribers, separate accounting is not conducted now.

Where do new subscribers come from

MAX does not report where each subscriber came from, so the "Where new subscribers came from" block divides the arrival probabilistically. First, an ordinary day is considered — the median of arrival on days when no one mentioned the channel. On the day when the channel mentioned another public channel, and the next day the arrival over the usual is divided between mentions:

  • Advertising in channels — a mention in an advertising post of another channel;
  • Reposts and links — a repost or link without ads;
  • We found it ourselves — everything else: MAX search, directories, links outside MAX.

The block is open by subscription "Premium" or "Business" (tariffs). The list of mentions for the period is on the "Mentions" tab.

How to distinguish advertising from cheating

A sharp jump in subscribers by itself does not prove anything. Advertising also gives a jump. The difference is in what is happening around.

This is what advertising usually looks like:

  • the jump coincides with the mention of the channel in another channel — on this day or the day before;
  • after the jump, some of the new people leave in the first days, but a noticeable proportion remains;
  • The reach of posts grows with subscribers, albeit more slowly.

These are the signs that are worth looking at more closely. The "Honesty of growth" block on the tab checks five of them in the last 30 days — using the same thresholds as the "Honesty of Growth" part of the Quality Index:

  1. Subscriber jumps — an increase of more than 5% of subscribers per day and more than three regular days a day when no one mentioned the channel either on this or the previous day. A jump after a mention is the norm: this is what advertising looks like.
  2. Growth without coverage — during the week subscribers increased by 10%, but the coverage of their posts did not grow.
  3. The same increments — three days with almost the same increment of more than 50 people.
  4. Growth in silence — plus 3% of subscribers for a pause without publications for at least 5 days.
  5. High outflow — the days of decline ate up more than 60% of the increase.

The result is a traffic light: green, if all checks are normal, yellow — one requires attention, red — two or more. The wording is deliberately soft: "Attention" is a reason to look at a particular day, and not an accusation of cheating. How these signs reduce the evaluation of the channel is described in the article "Channel Quality Index MAX" and in the methodology.

Advice

Before buying an ad in someone else's channel, open its "Audience growth" in 30 days and "Growth Honesty". Even growth with jumps on the days of mentions is a good sign. Jumps without mentions and subscriber growth with fixed coverage are a reason to ask the owner questions.

What the owner should do: checklist

  1. Confirm the channel. Bot datool.ru He will become an administrator, and you will see subscriptions and unsubscriptions separately, retention and activity of subscribers. All statistics of your channel are free for the owner — how to do this is described in the article "How to confirm your channel in MAX".
  2. Look at "Gone from the comers." If 60 or more people leave for 100 visitors, growth is based on constant infusions.
  3. Check ads for retention. Compare how many people from the wave of the parish remained in a week and in a month. The site, after which almost everyone left, does not pay off.
  4. Look for the causes of the worst days. In the "Records" of the worst day for a confirmed channel, you can see how many unsubscribed and subscribed and whether there were advertising posts on that day.
  5. Compare with the previous period. The dotted line in the "Subscriber Growth" shows whether you are overtaking yourself.
  6. Follow the live share. If there are more and more subscribers, and the live share drops, new people do not read the channel.

Frequent questions

How to see the growth of channel subscribers in MAX?

Open the channel page on datool.ru . On the dashboard, the "Audience growth" block shows the total for the period, the subscriber line, the increase and decrease on the days with the largest increase and the largest decrease. For more information, go to the "Audience Analysis" tab. In 7 days, all this is visible without registration.

Why can't you see how many people have subscribed and unsubscribed?

MAX reports separate subscriptions and unsubscriptions only to the channel administrator bot. Therefore, these numbers are in the channels where the bot datool.ru — administrator, usually after confirmation by the owner. The rest of the channels show only a net increase — the difference in the number of subscribers at the end of the days.

How to understand that subscribers have been screwed?

There is no unambiguous sign, but there are signals: a jump of more than 5% of subscribers per day without mentioning the channel, an increase in subscribers without an increase in coverage, several days in a row with almost the same increase, growth during a long pause without posts and a high outflow. The "Honesty of growth" block checks all five and shows the result with a traffic light.

What is "Gone from the newcomers"?

This is the number of unsubscribers for every 100 subscribers for the period: unsubscribed - subscribed × 100. For example, 30 means that out of every 100 visitors, 30 people left at the same time. From 60, growth is based on the constant attraction of new people.

Since when is there a subscriber history?

datool.ru collects the number of subscribers by day from September 30, 2026, and for channels found later — from the day of discovery. MAX does not give earlier numbers, so for long periods the chart starts from the first day with the data.

How many MAX channels are growing every week?

During the week of October 18-25, 2026, 29% of the channels for which there is data increased, 8% decreased, and 63% of subscribers changed by less than 1%. Together, the channels have added about 6.5 million subscribers.

The result

The growth of subscribers in MAX consists of arrivals and outflows, and only their difference is visible by one number of subscribers. The "Audience growth" block on the dashboard gives a quick picture, the "Audience Analysis" tab gives a detailed one: subscriptions and unsubscriptions, retention, records and checking the honesty of growth. Open the channel page, select a period of 30 days and see if the jumps match the mentions.
