The search for MAX channels and publications has become faster and more convenient

We have optimized and improved the search on datool.ru . Now the search has its own results page with two tabs: "Channels" — search by name, @name or link, and "Publications" — search by the texts of posts of all open MAX channels. The same filters work on both tabs as in the catalog: category, subscribers, activity, Quality index, marks and region.

Why you need it: find the right channel in a couple of seconds, compare similar channels directly in the search results and find out who wrote about the right topic and when. The search is open without registration. Try, for example, the query "theater" — you can immediately see how many channels and publications were found.

Where to look

There is a search field in the header of the site, on the main page, in the channel catalog and in the purple bar " MAX channel Analytics" on the pages "Today", "MAX Statistics" and others. Any query opens the results page. The address remains the address of the directory with request — max.datool.ru/channels/?q=…, it can be saved or forwarded.

On the results page, the query is in the purple bar field, with examples below it, and in the center there are two tabs with the number of what was found: Channels and Publications.

Channel Search

• Link and @name. If you insert a link of type max.ru/имя or @имя, the search is looking for an exact match — the desired channel will be the first.
• A word from the title. Otherwise, the search searches for a query inside the name or @channel name. The request must be at least three characters long: there are too many matches for two letters, and the page will ask you to add more.
• Tiles or a table. By default, channels are shown in tiles of four in a row, as in the catalog. In the table for each channel there is a Quality index, subscribers, subscriber schedule, growth, number of posts and posts by day for the selected period, as well as the time of the last post.
• Charts for 7, 14 or 30 days. Hover the cursor over the chart — the number for the day will appear next to it, but the chart will not be closed with a hint. Graphs can also be used from the keyboard: Tab and arrows.
• Sorting. By subscribers, growth, posts for the period, Quality index, or by who recently wrote. The found word in the title is highlighted.

If there is no channel, the page will offer to add it via a link: the link from the request will be inserted into the form itself.

Search by publications

The "Publications" tab searches for words in the texts of posts of open MAX channels — taking into account the forms of the Russian language: the query "Sirius" will also find "Sirius". The query understands quotation marks — the exact phrase — and a minus sign to exclude the word.

• Post cards. The name and avatar of the channel, the time, a piece of text around the found word with a highlight, views, reactions and the link "Open post".
• The order. Fresh, based on views or reactions.
• Period. A day, 7 days or 30 days.

According to datool.ru As of October 26, 2026, 132.7 million MAX open channel publications have been collected, and the search is on them. Channel posts from the "Adult (18+)" category are not shown in the search results until the user has confirmed their age.

Filters directly in search results

Under the line "Found N..." — the same filter buttons as in the catalog:

• Category — themes with pictures and search inside the window, you can select several;
• Subscribers — Channel size steps;
• Activity — they wrote in 7 or 30 days;
• Quality index — from 70 ("good") or from 85 ("high");
• Marks — A+ mark, confirmed by the owner, goskanal;
• Region — tree country, county, region, as the regions are marked up.

The main difference from the catalog is that the numbers of options are counted according to the channels found, and not according to the entire MAX. For example, the query "news" shows how many of the found channels belong to "News and Media", and how many belong to "Cities and regions". The selected is shown by chips with a cross, next to "Reset everything". On the "Publications" tab, filters select the channels whose posts are being searched.

What have we accelerated

The search should work quickly, even when the query finds hundreds of thousands of channels or publications. Therefore:

• Indexes. Search indexes are built by channel names and texts of all collected posts. Without them, a search for 130 million posts would not have been possible.
• Cache. The number of publications found and the numbers of filters are stored for 10 minutes: a repeated request does not recalculate them again.
• The limits of time. Heavy requests have a limit. If the request is too general, the page will still open. For example, it will show channels by subscribers and ask you to clarify the request instead of sorting by height for a long time.
• Excess does not count. Tiles do not build graphs that are needed only by the table, and the Channels tab does not recalculate the number of publications.

So the search does not slow down either itself or the rest of the site's pages.

What is open without a subscription

Both tabs are available to the guest, table graphs for 7 and 14 days, sorting by height and posts, and publications for a day and 7 days. After free registration, schedules and publications are opened for 30 days. Sort publications by reactions — by subscription "Premium" or "Business", compare tariffs — on the tariffs page.

Frequent questions

Why doesn't the search find the channel by two letters?

The name query must be at least three characters long: there are too many matches in short. Link max.ru/… and @name are searched for exactly at any length.

Is it possible to search by words in posts?

Yes, on the "Publications" tab. The search takes into account the forms of words, understands the exact phrase in quotation marks and the minus sign before the word that needs to be excluded. The period is a day, 7 or 30 days.

Why do the filter numbers differ from the catalog?

On the search page, the numbers are calculated according to the channels found, taking into account the other selected filters, and in the catalog — for the entire MAX.

What should I do if the channel is not in the issue?

Add it on the "Add Channel" page: a link to the open channel or its @name is enough. The channel will be added to the catalog, and we will start collecting its statistics.
