# Confirm your MAX channel and get owner analytics for free

> The owner of the confirmed channel sees on datool.ru what is open to others only by subscription: subscriptions and unsubscriptions by day, retention, live audience share, Quality index history. On **[datool.ru](https://datool.ru/)** statistics of all open MAX channels are collected, and each of them has a page — most likely yours, too. But while the channel has not been confirmed by anyone, the site shows the same thing on it that everyone sees: general figures and paid blocks for a subscription. Confirmation of the owner changes this: the part of analytics that is open for the rest at the tariff, the owner opens for **free** — because it is his own channel.

## What is revealed to the owner

- **Audience analysis.** Subscriptions and unsubscriptions by day, retention, live audience share and quality of growth — everything that the "Audience Analysis" tab shows by subscription, the owner sees on his channel without it.
- **The history of the Quality index and the coverage of formats** on the channel dashboard.
- **Blue sign** in the channel card: "the page was confirmed by a bot datool.ru ". It also gives +30 points in the "Trust" group of the Quality index.
- **Categories and territory are your choice.** The owner himself indicates up to 5 categories and the channel region, and automatic markup does not overlap this choice.
- **Weekly summary in the MAX bot** on all its channels: subscribers and growth, posts and views for the week.
- **The closed channel begins to gather.** We can't see the closed channel without the admin bot. After confirmation, its statistics appear in the dashboard — and only in your organization.
- **Statistics are updated more frequently:** a confirmed channel becomes a priority for collection.

## How to pass confirmation

You will need an account for datool.ru and two minutes.

1. **Specify the channel.** On the ["My channels"](https://max.datool.ru/my/channels/) page, in the "Add your channel" block, insert a link of type `https://max.ru/имя_канала` or channel name and click "Check". The same way — the button **"I am the owner of the channel"** on the page of any channel.
2. **Get the code.** The site will display a one-time code of type `DT-7K3M-Q2`: it is valid for 30 minutes and is linked to your organization and this channel.
3. **Send the code to the bot.** The "Open bot in MAX" button transmits the code itself; if the link does not open, copy the code and send the bot a message. The bot will answer which channel is assigned to which organization.
4. **Add a bot as a channel administrator.** The right to read is enough — the bot does not ask for more.
5. **Click "Check" in the bot.** The bot will make sure that it is the channel administrator, and the owner or administrator sent the code, and will write "Done". The confirmation page will update itself, and the organization will receive an email "Channel confirmed".

## If you can't add a bot

There is a backup way for open channels: paste the code into the channel description and click "Check description" on the confirmation page. The description is read by a technical bot. After checking, the code can be removed from the description. It will not be possible to confirm the closed channel in this way — the technical bot does not see its description, the main bot is needed by the administrator.

## Frequent questions

- **Is it safe?** The bot only gets the right to read the channel: it cannot publish, edit or delete posts. The code is linked to your organization, and the bot calls it before checking. If someone else sent the link, you will see it and click "It's not me".
- **The channel is led by a team.** Confirmation assigns the channel to the organization, not to the person: all members of the organization see its analytics, and disabling a participant does not affect confirmation.
- **There are several channels.** Confirm each one in the same way — they will all gather on "My channels" and in the weekly summary of the bot.
- **The channel has already been confirmed by someone else.** The confirmation page will say so; support solves the dispute via the "Report Inaccuracy" form on the channel page.
- **You need to remove the confirmation.** This is done by the owner-the organization in the cabinet or support in the admin panel.
